— my mission: Bring the people together —

I am an African drum and dance teacher and performer, and have been teaching professionally for the last 15 years. My teaching has influences from the western part of Africa, and particularly Ghana, which is where I come from.

Fondly known as Koffie (meaning Friday-born male in ‘Ewe’ - one of the native languages of the people of my land). ‘Kadodo’ represents my desire to connect and unite people through our love for music and movement. The concept of Kadodo orginated in Abor, in the Volta region of Ghana, where traditional music and dance play a big part in our everyday lives.

Since making New Zealand my home in 2013, I have been running workshops and classes in schools and communities across the country. I love working with children and thoroughly enjoy finding opportunities to share my love of African drumming and dance, especially with kiwi kids. I hope to inspire all you wonderful people to experience music (and musicality!) like never before.

With the love and blessings of many who truly believe in me and my passion for bringing about social change through music, I have had the growing support of several talented musicians - together called the Kadodo drummers - who also share in my genuine joy for music and passion to showcase my culture throughout NZ. The Kadodo drummers work hard to bring heart-warming and happiness-inducing memorable times through drum and dance to every corner of NZ, and if seeing is believing, you’re in the right place. Check out my upcoming workshops or simply get in touch to book a private session with me.

From schools to corporate building workshops, community groups to festivals, I tailor my workshops to suit any audience and cater my teaching style to all ages.

I promise to put a big smile on your face if you decide to come to one of my workshops. So, if you’re ready, let’s have some fun and create musical magic together!
